The background of the upazila

Bagerhat Sadar Upazila is located in the 2,039 North latitude and 89047 East longitudes. Fakirhat, Chittalmari and Mollahat upazilas on the north, Kachua upazila on the east, Rampal upazila on the south and west and Morelganj upazila on the east and south. Bagerhat Sadar Upazila Bagerhat municipality with 316.97 sq km (12.33 sq mi). 132 Bagerhat Sadar Upazila consists of 10 union units. There are 184 villages and 184 mouzas (178 villages and 6 municipalities area) in this upazila. Bagerhat Sadar Upazila (Bagerhat district) consists of 31 mahallas including 9 wards, Bagerhat Municipality.

 

With the establishment of Kachua and Fakirhat Police Outpost, the police station headquarters of Bagerhat was established in Bagerhat in 1863. On 1 February 1985, Bagerhat Sadar upazila was formed in the city of Bagerhat .134 Bagerhat Sadar upazila was the first officer to be the executive officer of Aminur Rahman Shahriar. Baruepara and 9 Rakhalgachi. In 1988, when the Demma Union of Rampal Upazila was connected with Bagerhat Sadar upazila, the number of union of Bagerhat Sadar upazila was 10 while the union of Bagerhat sadar upazila was connected with Bagerhat Sadar upazila.
